Our recent webinar, which took place on Wednesday September 30, 2020, saw a panel of industry experts discuss the impacts of the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA).
Their presentations covered the effects of the deal on businesses, the rules of origin, current state of the Vietnamese supply chain, and challenges that come with ensuring high-quality products enter the EU market.
We were grateful to have such knowledgeable and enthusiastic speakers take part in the event, which was streamed live on Zoom and YouTube.
Jean Jacques Bouflet, Vice Chairman of the European Business Association in Vietnam; Bui Kim Thuy, Vietnam Representative of ASEAN Business Council; and our very own Hazel Kwong, HQTS Global Sales Director, all took part. The session was hosted by Stella So Johnson, Vice Chairperson of Hong Kong Business Association.
The main topics of the talk included offering an understanding of the EVFTA and how the tariff changes will affect businesses, giving an overview of the Rules of Origin and more information about Vietnam and EU trade opportunities, as well as helping viewers to equip their businesses for the future and what’s ahead.
