Our recent webinar on EU Smart Home Automation and Appliance Industry Growth, Challenges and Opportunities by 2027 saw a panel of industry experts discuss the topic in detail.
The session was streamed live on Zoom and YouTube on Friday December 4, 2020 and featured three presentations that touched on standardisation, security, supply chain changes and regulation among other things related to the subject.
Paulo Falcioni, Director General at Home Appliance Europe (APPLiA); Alexandra Deschamps-Sonsino, Smarter Homes Author and IoT Consultant; and Ian Bell, Global Lead for Home and Technology at Euromonitor International, all appeared alongside regular host Clare Forestier.
The agenda offered an overview of the smart home appliance Industry with a focus on the European region post-Covid-19 including future growth and opportunities.
It also looked at the role of the smart home and connected appliances related to IoT technology including standardisation and security.
The benefits of smart home appliances for energy consumption and those for the citizen were also covered as well as smart home challenges and how developing EU legislation is and will affect the industry.
